Government thinking about Aadhar Card for NRIs

Government is thinking about giving Aadhar card to Non Resident Indians (NRIs). A choice will soon be taken in such manner. Sushma Swaraj, External Affairs Minister, said this amid an occasion of NRI on Saturday. While tending to at the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas she said, “This has been chosen that just government offices will offer authorizations to female employees for work in gulf nations. This conclusion is reached to guarantee that no worker ought to end up a casualty of fraud”.


For the first time Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) arranged Pravasi Bhartiya Divas. Sushma Swaraj encouraged NRIs to join in such imperative projects. She included that Prime Minister Narendra Modi needs to give Aadhar card to NRIs. Till now Aadhar card is issued to the individuals who live in India. She said, “You will be happy to realize that PM Modi needs to issue Aadhar card to NRI similarly it is issued in India. According to UIDAI guideline, Aadhar card is issued to just those individuals who stay in India. It is not a record of citizenship.
